The licences behind it

The licensing stack has four layers, and they arrive in order. A trade licence establishes the company. A DHA facility licence, applied for through the Sheryan platform, licenses the premises and the approved scope of services: it defines what the clinic may do, not just where it operates, so the application must match the intended service mix from the start.

The remaining layers are human. Every clinician in the facility holds an individual DHA professional licence in the relevant specialty, and the clinic appoints a licensed medical director who carries clinical accountability for everything delivered under the facility licence. Services added later mean varying the licence scope first, which is why the feasibility stage matters so much.

Can a wellness clinic offer IV drips and injections?

Yes, and only as a licensed medical service. IV nutrient therapy and injections are clinical procedures in Dubai: delivered by credentialed professionals, inside a DHA licensed facility, under medical oversight, with the service written into the facility licence scope.

The converse is equally clear. A lounge, salon, or gym cannot lawfully add a drip menu, and a licensed clinic cannot delegate delivery to unlicensed staff. Screening, consent, clinical records, and adverse event handling are part of the service, not optional extras, which is why the retail and spa model has no compliant version in this market.

Peptide and hormone programmes: how they stay compliant

Both are prescription led: a licensed physician assesses the patient, prescribes where clinically appropriate, and reviews the programme over time.
